Our history.
Wymondham Windmill is a restored 19th-century windmill, home to an award winning tearoom, unique boutique shops, play area and woodland trail, private hire venue and barn, with tranquil countryside accommodation—offering a relaxed and welcoming rural escape for all.
In 2016, Wymondham Windmill received funding from the Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) and East Leicestershire LEADER for an exciting project, The Living Mill, in Wymondham.
The project saw the historic mill conserved and its story told by people in the local community. Essential repair and restoration works were completed in 2017.
The beginning of a new chapter in our windmill’s history began.
