Rutland Willows specialises in handcrafted willow sculptures made on-site using traditional methods and sustainable materials. From smaller garden pieces to larger statement sculptures, each creation is rooted in natural craftsmanship and made with a real appreciation for the character and versatility of willow.
Alongside finished pieces, Rutland Willows also offers masterclasses for those keen to learn the craft themselves. These relaxed, hands-on workshops are suitable for a range of abilities and provide the chance to create your own sculpture in a welcoming countryside setting. It is a wonderfully tactile and rewarding experience, ideal for anyone who enjoys making, learning and spending time creatively.
Pheasant Course – Beginner
Spend a day learning the art of willow sculpture in a relaxed, hands-on setting. You’ll explore the basics of working with willow and create a piece to take home. The course includes all materials, plus lunch from the Windmill Café menu.
£80 per person.
Fox Course – Advanced
Once you’ve mastered the basics, the advanced course gives you the chance to put your skills into practice by creating a fox or a similar-sized animal.
Group courses are also available on request and can be tailored to suit specific interests or requirements.
