A Bright Future

One of the many tasks that bring our wonderful mill back to her back to full glory is a fresh coat of whitewash inside. All the modern paint, which does not let the stonework breathe, has been removed and we’re now ready to return the interiors to their original condition.

Did you know? Whitewash (often known as limewash) is one of the simplest and cheapest forms of paint. It was traditionally used for interiors used for food preparation because it has mildly antibacterial properties. It would also have made this old mill much brighter prior to electric lighting!<br />

Each floor will need whitewashing and will need at least 3 coats. We really need some volunteers to help with this task. If would like to join in please get in touch via the contact page.
